7TV Wide Emote Size Requirements

7TV is the only third-party Twitch emote platform that supports wide emotes. The maximum aspect ratio is 3:1, which translates to a 384×128 pixel canvas at the highest resolution (4x). 7TV automatically generates the smaller sizes (1x = 96×29, 2x = 192×58, 3x = 288×87) from your upload, so you only need to provide the 4x version. Upload as PNG for transparency, GIF for animation, or WebP for the smallest file sizes.

What Is a 7TV Wide Emote?

A wide emote is a 3:1 horizontal emote made famous by the original WIDE emote on 7TV. Unlike standard square Twitch emotes (1:1), wide emotes stretch horizontally and are popular for meme effects (the WIDE/THICC family), long-form reactions, character side-views, and panoramic art. 7TV is currently the only platform that displays them properly — BTTV and FFZ do not support wide emotes.
